Located south of Orlando and Kissimmee in central Florida, this 1,081-acre parcel represents a new mixed-use development opportunity on land that’s just off the Florida Turnpike. The property includes over two miles of Lake Tohopekaliga waterfront and incorporates a mix of upland terrain, wetlands, lakefront and woodlands (comprising old Florida pine, grandfather oaks and cypress trees). Home to the century-old Kissimmee Park Ranch, the fifth-generation owners are now preparing to release the land for development. It was listed for sale on July 15.

Set in the Appalachian hills of southwestern West Virginia, this sprawling 54,000-acre tract comprises a healthy mix of hardwoods ready for timber harvesting. The predominant species here—over 70 percent of the property’s sawtimber volume—are poplar, chestnut oak, red oak, hickory, black oak and white oak. Mineral rights to the property will be retained by the current mineral-rights owner. Located within close proximity to five wildlife management areas managed through the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources, the land also offers excellent hunting opportunities for game including white-tailed deer, black bear, wild turkey and grouse. It also includes a portion of the Hatfield McCoy ATV/off-road trail system. The property was listed for sale on July 22.

July saw a number of updates to our Lands of America search interface that allow buyers to browse and find land even more efficiently. These include filters to view listings with on-property residences and hone in on criteria like number of bathrooms and bedrooms. Other improvements include the ability to view listings added within a certain time period, as well as run searches within a specified price and acreage range. All buyers can also save searches and opt-in to receive email alerts when listings matching their search criteria are added. A picture tells a thousand words, a mantra we hope sellers will appreciate with our new property-detail layout that puts imagery front and center and enhances the photo-gallery experience for prospective buyers. With this new format, it places an emphasis on presenting the best, most impactful imagery for your land listing, so be sure to include as many high-quality photos as possible! In addition to bigger, better imagery, we have also added functionality to display maps with all property listings in order to help buyers place listings in context of the local area, even if a property’s exact location is not specified by the seller.
