The estate of rock-and-roll legend Joe Cocker will go under the auctioneer’s hammer on September 1. Located in the Colorado Rockies in the town of Crawford, 240-acre Mad Dog Ranch was purchased in 1994 by the British musician. It sits within easy reach of mountain-resort towns including Aspen and Telluride, plus is only a few miles from the spectacular Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. “Mad Dogs & Englishmen” was the name of Cocker’s 1970 album, as well as the 1970-71 tour that followed the album release. Cocker, most famous for his cover of the Beatles’ “With a Little Help from My Friends,” died in Crawford in in December 2014.
