Threaded by a section of O’Neill Creek and a series of ponds and lake, the property’s 29 contiguous parcels comprise an estate with excellent habitat for deer, duck and other game. A trail system throughout the property offers excellent access, while hunting is augmented by a series of food plots, hunting blinds and tree stands. Amenities include a simple three-bedroom lakeside home and shed for storage and game dressing.
The Chippewa County landscape includes a 23-mile section of Wisconsin’s Ice Age Trail, a recreational trail comprising sections of public and private land that denotes the southern edge of the state’s last glacier. Glacial remnants of the big freeze 15,000 years ago include the many kettle lakes and moraines that characterize the region today. Popular year-round outdoor pursuits include biking and hiking, water sports on 400-plus lakes and creeks and winter sports including cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and ice-fishing. Nearby to the sold acreage, the small town of Bloomer is the hub for the local farming community as well as a full calendar of annual events for locals and visitors alike. Chippewa Falls, just a few miles outside of Eau Claire, is the county seat.
