In the Spotlight: Bosque County’s Flat Rock Creek Ranch Sells for $7.3 Million

According to data submitted by sellers through the Lands of America Comparable Sales program, Flat Rock Creek Ranch was the most expensive land and ranch sale in the country in March 2017. The 733-acre ranch, located in Bosque County about 90 miles southwest of the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, was sold for $7.3 million on March 24. The sale was brokered by Jim Brosche of The Ranch Advisors in association with Keller Williams Realty.

Flat Rock Creek Ranch occupies a landscape that’s known for its ancient fossil beds and prehistoric artifacts. Nearby Dinosaur Valley State Park is a popular local attraction for fossil hunters and outdoor adventurers.

Beyond acreage that offers the ranch’s namesake spring-fed creek and a stocked lake with waterfall, Flat Rock Creek Ranch’s centerpiece is its spectacular four-bedroom, seven-bath main home, designed by noted Texas architect John Lively. As you can see from the images in the gallery above, the home mixes local style with modern form and function that includes sleek lines, light-filled living areas and abundant outdoor spaces for making the most of this quintessential Texas ranch.
