Buyers searching for land and property on the Land.com Network family of sites have a number of different tools at their fingertips to get them the search results they need. Here, we take a look at a few of the available search features on Lands of America and Land And Farm.
Search by location
Location-based searches are the most powerful way to find land throughout the country, which you can further filter by desired criteria such as acreage, price, land use and more. You can search listings in any city, county or state with an easy-to-use type-ahead form to offer the fastest experience possible.
Navigate to the homepage of either site—www.landsofamerica.com and www.landandfarm.com—and enter your search criteria into the search tool at the top of either page. Remember you can filter results based on specific price and acreage ranges to help you find the most relevant listings from throughout the Land.com Network.
To expand your filtering options on Land And Farm, click the ‘Search by Type, Price, Acreage & More’ toggle to access the full menu of search options. Another trick to note for searches on Lands of America is that clicking on the United States map icon on the homepage search bar opens an interactive U.S. map overlay and quick links to all 50 U.S. states.
Once you have defined you search, click to view a list of results. From here you can further refine the results by using the options in the left-hand-side menu on Lands of America or the filtering options at the top of the page on Land And Farm. Click the Map View toggle on either site to view results on a map.
Map-based searches on Lands of America come with an additional set of tools and filters to let you view and manipulate listing results on the map. Adjust the view of the map using the Layer toggle in the top left corner. Pan in and out to your preferred zoom level with the +/- toggles in the top right, plus switch the dynamic results feature on and off by sleeting the ‘Search entire map when moved’ option.
Other filters are available to configure your map results through the ‘More Filters’ button in the search bar above the map, which will open a panel to the right of the map where you can filter results on multiple criteria such as property type, amenities and proximity to certain cities within the geographic area.
Another quick trick to know when filtering results based on proximity to a specific city: you can set a radius filter to find listings with a certain distance of that city. Look for the ‘Search Radius’ option in either the left-hand-side menu of the List View or right-hand-side panel of the Map View option. This is a very helpful feature if you want to know which properties lie within a specific driving range of a gateway city, say, in some of the more remote and sparsely populated regions of the county.
Saving your searches and other useful account features
Now that you’ve created a search that fits your land-buying goals, it’s time to save your search to your account profile for future use. If you don’t already have an account on one of our sites, you will need to create a new profile in order to save searches—as well as take advantage of other site features like property alert emails, saved properties and property notifiers. Just complete the simple registration by sharing a few pieces of personal information and your account will be available in a matter of clicks!
Once created, you can easily find your saved searches through your account dashboard, where you can also manage settings such as the frequency with which you receive email notifications when new properties matching your search criteria are listed on the respective sites.
As with saved searches, you can also manage individual saved properties via your account dashboard. Click on the property title to access the property-detail page, from where you can easily contact the seller or share the listing information though the ‘Share/Email to a Friend’ options on both sites.
Individual property notifiers can also be created on Lands of America to alert you when new listings matching desired criteria—such as a range of counties within a state or a specific list of property types—are added to the site.
We hope the above information is helpful in making your land research and buying experience as seamless as possible on our Land.com Network marketplaces!
