The Buck Horn home was an exercise in creating a material palette that embodied a simple, refined mountain elegance. The owners wanted a mountain contemporary environment that celebrated the natural light and views, which permeate 360 degrees.—Crested Butte, Colorado. Photo Credit: James Ray Spahn
Colorado, home, bathroom
The master bathroom was designed around the celebration of sculptural bathtub with smooth lines that contrast in color and texture from the pebble stone wall to create an open, dynamic focal point off of the main circulation defined by the wood flooring. Photo Credit: James Ray Spahn

The interior stair works as the main circulations throughout the home. It is centrally located and open and becomes the main organizational element which holds the home together revealing the homes story one floor at and time. Photo Credit: James Ray Spahn

Sunlit draws its inspiration from historic building types, forms and materials in order to recreate architecture that emphasizes authenticity to the regional context that it is created in.

Colorado, home, landscaping
The Reserve home was designed to grow out of the mountain side and tread lightly within the natural landscape. Massing was broken down into additive forms with individual roof lines making the home appeared as a series of individual parts connected to reveal overall theme. Inspiration came from the Mountain Lodges found within the National Parks around the mountain west.—Crested Butte, Colorado. Photo Credit: James Ray Spahn

The Taylor River home embodies the design of intimacy. Spaces that evoke a comfortable and cozy human scale. Colorado, home
The Skyland home was an exercise in materiality and the celebrations of dynamic views. Stone foundations grow out of the site and support the home with a sense of permanence and the middle of the home is eroded out like a canyon to create transparency through the home. The canyon is a two-story volume that focus the occupants to views that focus on the lake, mountain and valley floor. Sunlit also has a passion for the natural environment bringing to the table expertise in sustainability and environmental consciousness through design.

The Prospect Home was designed around the capturing of the panoramic mountain views across the valley floor. Undeveloped and pristine, these mountain views are unmatched.
