Biggest land sales of 2017

Year in Review: Biggest Land Sales of 2017

Of the nearly 26,000 land-sale comparables recorded by sellers on Lands of America during 2017, Texas, Missouri and Oklahoma led the way in terms of most sales by state. The ranch-rich Texas counties of Henderson, Lamar and Burnet ranked at the top by recorded sales per county.

The year saw some $8.3 billion and 2.5 million acres in sold land and property, the most notable of which was arguably the August sale by Mirr Ranch Group of Colorado’s majestic 83,368-acre Cielo Vista Ranch after two years on the market. October’s news regarding the sale of Wolf Springs Ranch by M4 Ranch Group and Ranch Marketing Associates came in a close second as another significant Colorado Rockies’ legacy ranch found a new owner.

From majestic mountain estates to rugged desert cattle ranches to conservation-minded West Texas hunting properties, congratulations to all 52 of our Broker of the Week awardees. We look forward to sharing more of your significant sales and achievements over the coming year!
