Year in Review: Biggest Land Sales of 2018

Sellers and agents recorded over 27,000 individual land sales during 2018 through the Lands of America Comparable Sales program, which reflects a 3 percent decrease in total transactions over the previous year. Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida and Missouri rank as the country’s top five states by total recorded sales in 2018.

The Texas counties of Henderson, Lamar and Leon topped the table for sales by individual county. Encinitas, California-based Luke Smith of Rural Vacant Land recorded the most total land sales during the year, followed by Hill Country USA‘s Russell Prinz and Robert McAtee of Athens, Texas-based McAtee Realty, Inc.
