Here are the land-news trends and highlights from Lands of America in June 2016.
Largest New Listing

Marton Ranch is a resource-rich working livestock ranch that includes eight miles of North Platte River frontage, as well as numerous creeks, wells, springs and reservoirs spread throughout the well-watered property. The North Platte’s tailwater section below Grey Reef Reservoir is considered one of the best wild-trout fisheries in Wyoming, and is home to a healthy number of trophy rainbow and brown trout. Rising from an elevation of 5,300 feet along the Platte River to 7,500 feet near Bear Mountain, the habitat here is ideal for livestock grazing as well as robust populations of pronghorn antelopes, mule deer, elk and upland game birds. Along with its impressive bonafides as a commercial hunting venue, the ranch features eight antique cabins plus an expansive 6,000-square-foot lodge for hosting private events or corporate retreats.
Counties With Most Listings
As with previous months, Arizona’s Maricopa County numbered the most land listings with 2,856 properties and land acreage for sale. Maricopa is the biggest county in Arizona and comprises the sprawling Phoenix/Scottsdale metropolitan area, which has a population of over four million people. California’s San Bernardino County, which lies to the east of Los Angeles, ranked second (2,751 listings), followed by Yavapai County (2,495 listings), an 8,128-square-mile county located between Phoenix and Flagstaff, Arizona.
Most Searched Counties
The ten most searched counties on Lands of America in June continued to be centered around the ranch-rich locales of Texas Hill Country. Hunt County, a satellite of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, broke into the top 10 last month.

Top Keyword Searches
