November 2016 saw a total of 1,317 properties listed as sold though our Comparable Sales Program, a 33 percent decrease from the previous month. This data represents a total of $365 million and 106,091 acres of sold rural land and real estate. Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Virginia and Wisconsin saw the most completed sales during the month, although each were down on the previous month. The average sales price increased 11 percent month-over-month nationwide. The average size of sold property also increased month-over-month to 202 acres. A total of 5,440 new listings were added on Lands of America throughout the month, representing a total of $2.4 billion in new rural real estate for sale.
