The battle for Texas bragging rights is officially underway, and the Rattlers came out swinging. In the first round of the 2025 Land.com Texas Cup, held in Duluth, GA, the Texas Rattlers outlasted the Austin Gamblers with a narrow 342.5 to 253.75 win. Fueled by four qualified rides from Claudio Montanha Jr., Daniel Keeping, Ezekiel Mitchell, and Marcelo Procopio Pereira, the Rattlers secured the early edge in this four-round series.
The Austin Gamblers, the league’s reigning World Champions, didn’t go down quietly. They covered 60 percent of their bulls, with successful rides from Sage Steele Kimzey, Dener Barbosa, and Jose Vitor Leme. The next showdown in this high-stakes rivalry is set for August 23 during Gambler Days in Austin, Texas, where the Gamblers will look to even the score on their home turf.
Fans can follow the Land.com Texas Cup and the full PBR Teams season across a few national networks. Friday Night Live airs on Fox Nation, with weekend coverage on The CW (New York markets will air on a 2 hour time delay).
