Broker of the Week: Big Iron Ranches Sells 6,477-Acre Hunting Ranch in West-Central Texas

Congratulations to Rusty Kimbrell with Big Iron Ranches for his sale this week of 6,477 acres in Reagan County, Texas. The sale occurred on April 16, 2018, and was recorded through the Lands of America Comparable Sales program.

Located between San Angelo and Fort Stockton, the property offers abundant hunting for whitetail deer, quail and dove. It is also currently under a wind contract, for which 50 percent of the rights will convey for future installation of new turbines.

Reagan County is a small, rural region that’s centered around the town of Big Lake. Along with sprawling ranches and hunting properties, the county sits atop two of the state’s major oil and gas plays: the Cline and Wolfcamp shales.
