Congratulations to Blaine Bickelhaupt and Mark Grant of Blue Mountain Realtors for their sale on November 3 of 2,092-acre Dryland Farm in southeast Washington’s Walla Walla County. This sale was recorded through the Lands of America Comparable Sales program.

The farm, a portion of which is enrolled in the USDA’s Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), is located in the state’s fertile Walla Walla region, an agriculturally-rich area to the east of the Columbia River as it makes its turn westwards toward Portland, Oregon, and the Pacific Ocean beyond.
The farm’s main agricultural staple is wheat, contributing to the county’s biggest farm product. Other crops grown in Walla Walla County include barley, corn, potatoes, asparagus, peas and the county’s very own Walla Walla Sweet Onion. Walla Walla is also home to one of the nation’s largest privately owned apple orchards, Broetje Orchards, as well as some 2,800 acres of grapes across over 120 wineries in the area.
