Straddling both Brewster and Pecos counties in West Texas, the landscape here unfurls from rolling lowlands to the mountainous slopes of the area’s signature range, the Glass Mountains. These rocky peaks are an iconic feature of the Trans-Pecos region, forming a mesmerizing backdrop to the ranch.

The northwestern portion of this range bisects the El Corazon De Crystal Ranch, with Old Blue Mountain, one of the highest peaks in the Glass Mountains, keeping a watchful eye throughout the 18,000-acre property. As you’d expect in a region of large, well-managed game and recreational ranches, El Corazon De Crystal’s mountains, valleys and grasslands are stewarded to promote and maintain healthy populations of mule deer, elk, aoudad, blue quail and other sought-after game.

The highest elevation on the ranch is 5,229-foot Little Blue Mountain, while four of the five vegetation types found throughout the Trans-Pecos region—Chihuahuan desert scrubland, desert grasslands, oak-juniper-pinyon woodlands and riparian woodlands—occupy the ranch’s 1,374 feet of elevation relief.

Located in Brewster County, Texas (with a lesser portion in Pecos County), the ranch is accessible from the town of Alpine as well as Fort Stockton to the northeast. Area attractions include the towns of Marfa and Fort Davis, as well as the outdoor lures of Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park and the McDonald Observatory atop the Davis Mountains.
