Tattnall County lies to the west of Savannah, Georgia, in a fertile agricultural belt that is home to more than 350 poultry houses. In fact, the county’s poultry farmers produce more than 40 million broiler chickens each year, making it one of south Georgia’s biggest producers of this significant ag staple. Farmers here also grow large numbers of pecans as well as row crops including corn, cotton, soybeans and wheat. The county is also known for its large crop of Vidalia onions, arguably one of Georgia’s most famous agricultural products.

Along with its forested areas of pine and hardwood trees, the sold acreage features over a mile of Ohoopee River frontage, a tranquil stretch of river that threads its way through the county toward the Altamaha River (the watershed of which empties out in the Atlantic). The property also offers an extensive interior road system throughout with campsites for hunters plus food plots for resident deer, turkey and duck.

With two-thirds of the state covered in forestland (most of which is timberland available for commercial use), Georgia’s forest industry is the second largest industry in the
state in terms of employment and wages and salaries.
